About Me

Hello!

My name is Jake. I have been tutoring at GCSE and A Level and an Examiner for two exam boards for ​many years.

I did my degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and then my PGCE to become a teacher.

I've been a qualified science teacher for 9 years now, specialising in Biology and Chemistry at A Level ​but teach general science and triple physics up to GCSE level.

I've been Head of Chemistry and then Head of Science at a large secondary school in Birmingham, ​worked as Head of A Levels at an FE college, and then Head of Biology at a large secondary again.

I have recently decided to leave the classroom and tutor full time (exciting, but scary!) to enjoy a ​better work-life balance and do more of what I enjoy - actually teaching and helping students.
